Notes from a Solo Parent in Progress
There’s no perfect script for this life.
No tidy timeline. No co-parent on standby.
It’s just me.
Rebuilding a career while raising a tiny human who calls for me in the middle of the night and beams at me like I hold the universe.
Some days, I apply for jobs sitting cross-legged on the floor beside her.
Some days, I take Zoom calls in my calmest voice while the living room is chaos.
Some days, I don’t get through the to-do list because something more important needed my attention — her.
This isn’t about balance.
This is about doing what needs to be done with no backup plan and no soft landing.
This is about building, showing up, trusting that even slow progress still counts.
I’ve worked in hospitality, brand strategy, events, wellness, and tech.
I’ve built systems that made daily chaos feel smoother.
I’ve led teams with empathy and structure.
I’ve hosted over 200 events that turned spaces into memories.
And in between all that, I’ve changed diapers, wiped tears, juggled nap schedules, and somehow kept the spark alive — the one that still wants more.
Motherhood didn’t pause my ambition.
It sharpened it.
It taught me presence under pressure.
